Now called Jefferson at Toluca Lake, the current management is JPI. I've lived here for four years and this is my third owner and management company. I will never rent with JPI again. With each new owner, this place goes farther down hill. Noise has always been a problem, both from the other tenants and the commercial properties across the alley. Neither the management nor the local authorities (police, city of Burbank) are of any help. In addition to the usual racket, current management has been "upgrading" all of the units and rebuilding the common areas for a year now. When I work from home I have to listen to jack hammers and tile cutters.
Laundry facilities are inadequate, especially when they rent out units to large extended families. Three washers and dryers for each 75 units is a joke.
The current owners painted the interior mint green and put in carpet so cheap that it was stained and in disrepair in less than two weeks after it went in.
But worst of all are the children who run the place. I think they are afraid to hire anyone over thirty. I've seen potential tenants walk into the management office, look around, and ask me if any adults work here (I'm over thirty). I just say, "no". And that's what I suggest to anyone think of moving in here, just say no.

I beg to differ. I live here to and I have a different point of view. If something needs to be fixed, put in a work order and things will get taken care of. Yes, the leasing agents are young, but the one young lady that helped me was courteous, respectful, professional and she did her job. Seems like the bitter residents don't like change and are not open minded. Stop complaining and do something about it. Put in work order, write JPI a letter, etc.
