Town Center Apartments

Anyone else have this experience' Unbelievable. From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 8/15/2004 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004   We lived there for 7 months. At first, it seemed like a nice place, but we had many problems. First, I want to say what just happened. We moved out in February. Well they decided the carpet was fine when we left, but we just got a notice 5 months and 13 days after we moved out saying we owe them for carpet replacement. Supposedly they replaced it in May and decided now to charge us for it. After we left, we were given a check for the remainder of our security deposit--final settlement our deposit. Now they are charging us over $300.00. I am really glad we have pictures. Has anyone else had this happen' Other problems -- a tiny parking place assigned for my van -- I parked in it and then spent an hour inching my way out of it!When I told the office, they said they'd deal with it in 30 days. In the meantime, I got two parking tickets parking on the street and not realizing and then forgetting it was Thursday and street cleaning day. Finally, I got a spot, parked in it 2 days and then someone else took it. This happened 3 times before I got a spot that I was able to keep. It took us an hour to find a grill that worked. The pool is not heated and very cold. Our pipe was clogged and water from the upstairs shower poured out of our sink onto the floor. They tried to blame us -- we were not even putting food down in the disposal because the drainage was slow. The carpet looked awful two weeks after we moved in -- obvious stains from previous tenants, and it smelled like dog pee when it rained. Then we had a leak in our ceiling. We were next to the trash chute and it stunk in our apartment and the door slamming frequently woke us up. We were above the garage doors and it made a terrible noise whenever anyone went in or out, often waking us at night. I could go on...
