I live at Town Center and the main reason, being an animal lover, I choose to live here was because of having the choice to own a dog at one point during my lease (not for the price, very expensive). My husband and I found a dog we wanted to adopt after being here for almost 1 year. I called the management office to inquire about how much our deposit would be and I was told, "Oh, we don't except dogs anymore.". I told the person on the phone I was not notified of this and it would be helpful if a memo was generated. Her respone was, "I'm not the manager.". I have been in customer service for many years and have NEVER heard anyone say anything like this. I would have been happy with, 'I'll let the manager know and I agree you should be notified'. Now I know legally we could have gotten the dog, because there is nothing in our lease or no memo generated. This is why we are looking elsewhere for a better apt building.

Actually legally you can not get a dog without telling the manager. It is in the lease agreement. READ IT. Apartments by law do not have to notify ANY tenant of dog policies. You can thank your neighbors for the dog policy being done away with....not the management. Read your lease next time....

WOW! I have lived here since Oct. 2006 and have always had a positive experience! I LOVE it. Management does make the difference. I'm shoc ked at that 3-4-08 response from "anonymous". Its obviously management! If that's the new "flavor" with the new management, I may begin looking as I WILL NOT deal with that type of service either. As the 2/29 renter mentioned they are customer service and would NEVER treat someone that way, I TOO am a Customer Service Manager and would NEVER respond to someone with a complaint that way. My exerience has been positive and I love it here. Hopefully that won't be changing!
