Arlington is a nice, clean complex on a beautiful street within walking distance of Burlingame center. There are several buildings of different ages. Mine was not the stylish white building, but one of the less attractives ones in the back.
They charge much more than similar apartments in the area, probably because they are one of the few with on-site management.
We found management quite unresponsive. Management took over EIGHT WEEKS to take care of a serious repair request, and only did so after threats to file a complaint with the appropriate government offices.
You only get one parking spot, but it is usually possible to find free street parking for a second car. It is well landscaped. No A/C. The smallest kitchen, with no D/W, I have ever tried to use. Only 4 washer-dryers for a complex with over 60 units - not adequate. No elevator - moving can be difficult. You cannot get a moving van anywhere near some of the units because of low overhangs and tight corners. On move-in day, I was presented with surprise asbestos and lead paint disclosures. The heating system is this ancient gas-fired things that is unreliable. We can hear almost everything our neighbors say. But the street itself is very quiet.
The best things about Arlington are 1) the location cant be beat, 2) the water pressure is excellent, 3) nice landscaping, 4) low security deposits, 5) clean / nice carpets.
