We lived in this place for about 4 years. The rents at first were amazing, but since the new management took over about a year ago, rents have been sky-rocketing. I think we all miss the prior manager (John) who was very responsive, friendly and accomodating. The new manager is quite stuck-up and somewhat rude. The main office has been nicely renovated with beautiful new furniture, carpeting etc., while the rest of the building remains quite shabby - I'm not sure where our rent increase is going. The rental market in general is taking a hit, but our rate of rising rent, particularly for those who have been there for years and have been loyal clients, seems out of proportion. Other downsides: the elevators seem to break down frequently, pool is not heated during the winter, no gym, old building without any significant external rennovations.

On the upside, the location is phenomenal (it is mostly about location, after all), the pool is relatively large, the building is concrete, so there is great noise insulation, you are withing walking distance of burlingame avenue, washer and drier on the same floor, though they can't seem to get the driers right, covered parking is a plus.

Overall, this place is OK. Worth considering if you get a good deal, but shop around and certainly read reviews from other places.
