Nice Building and Management - but FREEZING in winter, BOILING in summer

We have lived at the Towers for almost 2 years. It's a very nice building, it's safe, and they have done a lot of upgrades - however the main problem is the insulation. It's absolutely FREEZING in the winter (as someone already mentioned the wall heaters are useless), and it's boiling hot all summer/fall when the weather is warm. The windows and patio doors are made of metal from the 60s' and do absolutely nothing. We use space heaters and carry them from room to room. We heard that people pay up to $400-500 in PG&E heating costs in this building, which is unheard of for apartment living (and even for many of those who own homes!) We usually pay $150-$200 a month in the winter for PG&E. We have asked management to help with this in the past, but they said our heaters were brand new, so there was nothing they could do.

I'd recommend living here if you don't mind high PG&E bills and being frozen in the winter. The location is great if you want to be close to downtown Burlingame and the airport. If you do move in, DONT TAKE the manager's advice to use IRON HORSE TRUCKING - they are a total scam moving company that we used based on her advice, and it cost us dearly in money and time. Left a bad taste in our month from day one.
