On a not-so-slow slide to slum

When I moved in Northpark was a pretty decent place. Accessible location, well maintained, friendly staff, reasonably priced. I could have done a lot worse. Noisy, but you have to expect that (it is close to 101 Caltrain and SFO after all).
Then they changed management.
And fired or drove off the most of the competent and/or friendly people.
And got slow and sloppy with the maintenance.
Now the place is falling apart. Cant speak to the critters because I was on the third floor, but I did have water leak into the apartment and issues with my wiring. There response was less than inspiring. The water mains to one of the buildings broke and werent fixed for several days. Several others have flooding in the lobby on a regular basis during the winter because drains keep backing up. They had problems with the pond and the pool and took months to fix them.
Did I mention that the rent didnt drop as a result of any of this'
They like to talk about their plans for renovating, they were doing that when I signed my first lease.
PS : Why am I posting this months after I moved out' Because they had a fire last night and according to the news reports the "building-wide fire alarm system also failed to activate" (Bay City News Service, 'Four-Alarm Burlingame Fire Caused By Cooking Mishap', 03/11/2004).
