Rude and irresponsible management

This is a good location for commute, close to the highway and near busy Broadway street if you wanted to walk and get a cup of coffee at starbucks.
Management is horrible. They are rude, inconsiderate and deaf to tenant's problems. They have the right to expect you to pay rent in the first 3 days of the month, I have no confusion there. But they charge even more rent when you have a problem with your apartment.
They force you to sign a contract or threat you to raise the rent with 40% even if you have a problem at your bathroom resulting in unhelathy and wet!! living conditions. I went to talk to them with sincere problems that I have with my apartment many times but never left their office feeling good. It is their policy not to tell you "you are a tenant with us, do not worry we will take care of the problem and you will not be abused". You are not a customer at Northpark after you move in. You are treated as if you are a criminal and as if you are trying to cheat or damage their property no matter who you are. All they want is more money. But they cannot even handle the current situation they have.
I believe they became incompetent and rude because of the tenants they gave their apartments to in time. They must have gotten used to dealing with rude tenants and criminal tyoe residents, and what you get at the end is the same type building management.
Maintenance is slow and not very competent. They forget that what they maintain and repair is a home to many people.
I woould not recommend you Northpark. Management and maintenance give enough head ache and ulcer to motivate you to move out once a problem or incident occurs. Burlingame is such a nice place, there are many nicer places available. Try something else.
