Incredible! We tried to get into these apartments once before and now I wish we had never heard of them. It is all sweetness and light when you first come to see the apartments. I was shown a very nice unit, quiet, with flowers and bird feeders nearby and it all SOUNDED GREAT. Then I was told that an even nicer unit was available WITH A VIEW OF THE SFO LANDING STRIP. But when I asked to see it, it was "still occupied". OK, it sounded honest enough. Then I asked about the pet policy and was told I could have a dog, but only a small one. I commented on the beautiful flowers and plants the residents had on their balconies and how much I was looking forward to the birds and the squirrels on the grounds. "Oh yes," I was assured, "You will love it here."
OOPS- we moved in and could not believe the horrible 'view' of 101, a bright red gas station sign, a neon restaurant sign, and a concrete overpass and trees: OUR VIEW (see pic 4).
But do not go away because it gets better...some weeks ago, a surly note from the staff was sent around: GET ALL BIKES OUT OF THE GARAGE (pic 1 of my car and bike next to it, right side);REMOVE THE BIRDHOUSES AND THE PLANTS ON THE BALCONY...etc.(pic2 our apt on 3rd floor)and (pic 5 birdhouse on balcony which had to come down)..OUR BIKE WAS STOLEN BUT BY THE MANAGEMENT WHO ADMITTED IT!
Part 3 is that there are lots of rules about using the pool, hot tub facilities, not climbing the pool fence, etc. BUT THAT IS WHERE NO RULE IS ENFORCED! There are ALWAYS babies and small children in the hot tub, children ALWAYS climb the fence in warm weather, and the entrance to the gym is always flooded in rainy weather...
AND DO NOT EVEN THINK OF BEING 5 DAYS LATE WITH THE RENT BECAUSE THEY WILL COME AND TACK A SIGN ON YOUR DOOR LIKE IN THE MIDDLE AGES!
If you are disabled in any way,as I am, forget it! (photo 3shows the proximity of the VERY HEAVY doors which BOTH OPEN AGAINST EACH OTHER..) And if you have nothing against chemicals which kill weeds but cause inflammation of the skin if you come in contact, please come here. Killing the birds or squirrels obviously does not bother these people.
