I have had a good experience living at Skyline Terrace. Sure it is next to a freeway but anyone would have to be a dummy to not notice before moving in. 280 is a scenic highway anyway so semi's are not permitted which means it's very quiet other than commute hours. Being next to 280 is the best convenience making the trip to the City only minutes as well as the airport, or anywhere else on the peninsula. The manager is probably the most caring and genuine human being anyone could ask for in a manager. I have only positive interactions with all the management staff. Rent increases were a real bummer a few years back but that has slowed significantly since the bottom fell out of the stock market for the dot-comers. Our rent was even reduced by $200. Calling the gym small is an understatement and the so-called "social room" is a joke since they made two adjoining rooms into studios just for extra income. There is no restroom for guests, no game tables and no privacy. The people living in the adjoining apartments walk right in on your private party to get into their apartment. The pool is great and all the extra parking is a real convenience for guests. The apartments are huge and the view I get from mine I can see the Bay Bridge and the San Mateo Bridge and everything else in between. The building is all concrete so you don't hear anything from other apartments.
