RUN AWAY, FAR AWAY! Beware potential renters! From: mhappyfoots Date posted: 11/14/2005 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005   This is a "charming" old building but the emphacis is on "old". There is no on-site management and what there is is inattentive and will steal your "security deposit" from you when you leave. We just moved after living in the Chateau for 1 1/2 years. We had our unit professionally cleaned after we moved and were shocked when managment held out $180 for cleaning (or re-cleaning!)because they said we left soap scum in the bathtub! They also held out $115 for scuff marks on the wall (which is normal wear and tear") and even though we paid our own water bills, they also held out money for that. In the end it amounted to over $500! Our 2 BR unit was spacious and overlooked beautiful trees but we did have water leaks. It's expensive and we felt sad that we are having to fight for the right to reclaim our security deposit but be warned that the Chateau treats tennants as shabby as the inside of the building appears.
