Live anywhere but here! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 4/16/2004 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004 1 response   I have lived here for 3 years while I attended law school at Pepperdine. I feel like such a "chump" for letting myself get ripped off and swindled by this horrible company for so long. We have a 1 bedroom and it is so old and run down. The kitchen appliances look like they came from the projects. The cabinet drawers dont even open, the rooms are small--it sucks! The walls are so thin that I can hear my neighbor urinating in the bathroom above ours! There is absolutely no privacy! If this place were anywhere else on the map, it would rent for about $400. Instead, we pay $1300!! It is ridiculous. Don't move here because it is close and convenient to Pepperdine. Find any place else--maybe a guest house in Malibu...maybe something in Santa Monica. Both pools are freezing all the time, the gym is too hot, the parking spaces are too tight (even for a compact), management stinks, the town of calabasas is totally lame, there is nowhere to ride bikes or even go for a brisk walk...this place is the twilight zone. Don't do it!!
