When I moved here this complex was by far the nicest in the area, but since taking over management, Archstone has slammed residents with huge fees and rental increases for small, cheaply built apartments with only the basics. A quick slap of paint on the buildings hardly justifies the expenses, and it seems that every few months there is a new surprise that costs residents more money or is a major inconvenience.

I'm starting to believe that Archstone is trying to discourage longtime residents from renewing their leases so that they can get more rent money after the apartments are turned over. The complex has been hit with numerous lawsuits, and judging by the way we've been treated by the management, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.

I expect that in the next few months, they will begin charging residents for the best feature of the complex, the unlimited parking (as if I'm not being overcharged enough already). I've read the other posts, and no one is exaggerating. We can't wait until moving day...
