Try starting at $2,150 for a 950 sq ft 2 bed 2 bath. The absolute funniest thing is the "24 hour guarantee" on the website related to maintenance! LMAO in your dreams, kiss the VIP treatment GOODBYE after you move in. When I moved in, in the summer, my A/C did not work, took them 4 days to even come look at it. The pool is basically the Calabasas Community pool as non-residents have bent the spring loaded doors down so they don??t close properly allowing them to walk right in. The Spa by the Office has not had bubbles in since I moved in over a year ago. They will not allow you to have ANYTHING on your porch unless it is approved in writing and they do random inspections to ensure compliance, not to mention the "Cleaning" and " Maintenance " inspections they do every 6 months or so with only a weeks notice. Some underpaid maintenance person has free roam of your house if you can't be there. The office staff is a bunch of college kids that could care less about the families who actually live in the units. The maintance response is a joke; they took 2 weeks to fix a broken sprinkler that was washing mud into the parking area. They just raised the rent for anyone with a lease that ended in 2006 $300 dollars. They threw in some wood floors, cheap white cabinets, and now they want $2300 for a 2 bedroom, what a joke...sure the pics on the website look nice but don't be fooled, these are 925-950 sq ft apartments we are talking about. The walls are thin; if you happen to live in a unit near the school...look out because there is a bus yard that has buses leaving every morning at 6-7am and on weekends too--football games, field trips etc, not to mention the marching band that practices there on weekends! Don't be fooled, these are NOT luxury apartments no matter what there fancy website says....that??s were the money and improvements really go....to tricking you into renting here. But don't take my word for it.....move in and experience it for yourself. The turn over is so high that you will also enjoy them doing the remodels above you, next to you, heck, all around you all morning and weekend??.everyone loves the sound of a power saw at 7am on Saturday and the sweat sound of Spanish radio. You have been warned.

Amen brother, summed up my exact experience, renters don't be fooled by appearences, the bottom line is you will be living there, the shiny new paint and floors will only impress you a short time once you realize how things really are here

You need to do more research before you post false info. It's a 24 hour response time guarentee not a completion guarentee. And that is all thrown out the window if you do not give them permission to enter your apartment. I'm sure you have nothing worth looking at that their highly qualified tech want. I'm sure they make way more money than you do. As far as a weeks notice for the inspections, they only need to give you 24 hours. Be happy you get a week. Do you need that much time to hide your bongs and weed? If you don't like living near the school, move away from it. You know it was there when you rented the place. Did you think schools where quiet. If so then you didn't go to one yourself and proved that in your rambling. |

To Happyarchy: "do more research before you post false info" ummm, are you retarded happyarchy? Archstone's website says,
"At Archstone, we understand that keeping you happy is a whole lot easier when we keep your apartment in excellent condition. In that spirit, one of our most valued apartment features is our 1-Day Service Guarantee: we promise that our professional and friendly associates will respond to all service requests within 24 hours. Providing you with a great apartment and great apartment features is just the start. It's the great service we provide that makes Archstone stand head and shoulders above the rest."
The post says "When I moved in, in the summer, my A/C did not work, took them 4 days to even come look at it." it does not say it took 4 days to FIX it...that took another week.
So my "research" was MY personal experience you idiot. And the post says, "The maintenance response is a joke; they took 2 weeks to fix a broken sprinkler that was washing mud into the parking area." yes, that???s right two weeks to BOTH come look at it and fix it, because once they finally got off their asses, all they had to do was screw in a new sprinkler head. Again, my "research" is my experience.
In response the weeks notice only needing to be 24 hours and needing time to hide bongs and weed, happyarchy, what are you 18? maybe 21? Maybe, just maybe, my concern is over my desire to be in my home while maintenance is there, simply to ensure my bills, jewelry, cameras, computers, and other valuables stay safe? Oh wait, let me guess, happyarchy, it's unreasonable for a tenant who works, or who may be on vacation the week of inspection, to want to be in there apartment while a stranger is, and you can guarantee my personal items are safe?
In response to not knowing schools are loud and my ramblings proved I didn't go to one???..you are pathetic, God wasted a soul on you, and take a look in the mirror happyarchy, you work in an apartment rental office, ohhh the education it must have taken to land you that job! My post did not say I did not consider it when I moved in; however, it is a warning to people who may have made the same mistake I did, underestimate just how LOUD it is based on the sound dampening capabilities of the home. Ohhh wait, maybe, just maybe, that is because one must first LIVE and sleep in a apartment to learn that.
