Hi All,

Like every place we live somedays its good and others can be bad. Lets keep this great website about communities and stop with personal attacks, if you didn't get along with the manager for whatever reason keep it to your self. Also, if you are thinking about living here just go knock on a random door or catch someone by the pool and ask then what he or she thinks of the place. Of course leasing will tell you this place is great and they should. Our community is great, but like any community there are small issues at times we experienced.

Well I believe that personal attacks arent polite, but sometimes appropriately address the management issue which is part of living in an apartment. I prefer to know if I am going to be moving into a place with an unhelpful or rude manager.

I dont see any names posted. These aren't personal attacks. In fact, the "I hate the manager" comments persist over three different managers. Let me make that clear: From the time of the first "Management sucks" post here, there have been THREE different managers. That would not be a PERSONAL attack. Nope. It's an attack on ARCHSTONE. When this property was managed as Malibu Meadows, the reviews didn't mention the crappy management. Get your facts straight before you post some idiotic message claiming personal attacks.

Management was great before...but once ------ i mean Archstone took over and they put this douchbag with the first initial A in charge the place went downhill.

People come to this website to get the point of view from people who have lived in a particular complex and dealt with management at that complex. Inevitably, people with bad experiences are more likely to post as it is an avenue to vent frustrations. Sure, some posts may be a little embellished, but the overall theme obviously holds some truth to it, and that is the management of Archstone Calabasas is directly responsible for many tenants of their apartments being unhappy in some form or another. Further, Archstone Calabasas employees come to this website (happyarchy for example) and write childish responses to comments the current and past tenants have left. Spend some time reading the comments and the responses which Archstone Calabasas employees have obviously left (happyarchy) and you will see they hold almost a personal vendetta against the tenants. Be warned future tenants that those are the people and attitudes you will have to deal with when you move in and have even the most simple request from management. Rather than spend time actually trying to help tenants and address their concern, they sit in the office and post 4th grade comments on this site. I would challenge you to take the poster???s advice and knock on a few doors, (avoid the pool recommendation as the gates to the pools are never looked as they should be and the pools are used by both non tenants and tenants alike), but knock on the doors and you will see that people are not very happy with the management. I live here because it???s close to my job, the area itself is beautiful, and while I think the management is extremely poor and need to grow up, I haven???t moved out because I???m not going to let a few punk ass pathetic losers who happen work at Archstone effect my experience and I have this venue to warn others and that give???s me a certain satisfaction because, maybe, just maybe, Archstone will pull their heads out of their asses and improve themselves.
