cons:
Beware of Archstone Calabasas.......Make sure you know your rights as tenants! Archstone Calabasas will make you pay for repainting the appartment when you leave, this is against california law! They will also try to replace the carpet and make you pay for it when you leave, even if the carpet is almost new, you can fight this by demanding evidence that proves that the carpet needed replacement, if they cannot give you proof, then, by law they can't charge you for it!
Beware, Beware.....I was a really good tenant for the time I was living at archstone calabasas. When it came town to moving out, they were very dishonest in evaluating the condition of the appartment and disregarded california tenant law completely!
pros:
good day to day service: repairs, questions, landscaping
location is pretty nice
very clean

It looks like someone needs to do a little better research. There is no such thing as wear and tear and apartments can charge to recover DAMAGE costs. So when you hang up 50 photos and there are 50 pin holes in the walls, that is not considered wear and tear. That is damage and apartments can charge you to recover the cost to paint that wall back to its original condition. Unless that is they moved into that apartment with 50 holes in the walls.
