This place has "Myspace angles". This is a FAIR review.

I don't actually live there, but I can tell you what it's like first hand because I know people that still do. First off, I have to say that the online pictures of this place look amazing! However, things just aren't like they are in the pictures (that's what a "myspace angle" is). The majority of the grounds look decent, but the pool is a lot smaller than it looks in pictures and the pond around it is kinda gross. The staff seemed nice at first, but they are prejudgemental. I asked them if they'd ever heard of ApartmentRatings and they said "no". Then I told them about the ratings and reviews made on this site (without going into details) and they said in these exact words "They (the reviewers) must be slow. We don't allow those kind of people in here.". I was a little ticked off when I heard that, because that means they don't listen when some one has a problem. They just assume the person is stupid rather than listen and make an effort to help the situation. Keep in mind, this was the first time I'd ever met this woman (I can't remember her name, but she was an ----- woman with ---- ----- hair). Who knows, maybe I'm the prejudgemental one. I have also been told that there is a pretty big problem with rodents, but that is to be expected. The place is located next to an open grassy mountain, so even the nicest homes will have rodent problems from time to time. There is a lot of available parking at this place, but parking in these open spots on Las Virgenes will get your car really dusty. There is also construction going on quite a bit, but that's just because the area is still in developement. My advice is to try and find a unit located as far away from the road as possible. Because it's located at the end of a road on a mountin, you'll be able to see stars at night, but you'll also have to drive about 3 miles to get to the nearest store (the mini-mart across the street is kinda ghetto). Every unit has a built in washer and dryer, so that's a positive. To sum it all up, this is a nice place with some nice residents, but the units are slightly over priced. Move there if you like the name "Malibu Canyon", otherwise check out the other places located on the other side of the freeway or check out places in Thousand Oaks. I hope this helps you find your new home. odusyNYCcZ7yL3Bj5JtG
