Malibu Canyon Apts.are the ongoing target of car thieves, as I learned from the Sheriff's office while filing my report that my car had been broken into on complex property, the management knows this, but will NOT allow any signs to be posted warning residents about this fact(quote from Sheriff)so I'm warning you here. Sometimes as many as 25 cars have been broken into on a single night.Another direct quote is "for the money you have to pay here,you should have gated access-only parking-everyone else at this price does."

I spoke to a neighbor this morning who told me the same thing, in our parking area their have been 4 car break ins in the last week alone. One of the woman's husband who's car was broken into is a police officer, so maybe this will make a difference, but most likely not!

I know of lot's of people whom have had their cars broken into and their personal property stolen.You should take it up with manager ----- ------!She is the one that enforces the new rule of (NO PERSONAL PROPERTY ON BALCONIES/PATIO"S!) Hopefully they will take notice of this and protect their tenants PERSONAL PROPERTY....All they have to do is start a new construction project such as building a safe gate guarded community,or hiring better security!

Wow, I wasn't aware of all the cars being broken into here at MCA. It's sad to know that they have a security guard who drives around in a cart at night, and yet he can't do his job by catching these thieves. Way to go! For as much money as this place costs, you'd think it would be a gated community. I agree, more security should be on hand.
