Don't want to go in to details as I still have to live here and don't want to be evicted for telling the truth. But lets just say the management unjustly got charged me extra fee's in the hundreds of dollars, and I had to pay them or go homeless. The situation was NOT fair. There a big bad company and I am just one tenet trying to keep my home for my children and I. Wish I could provide further details but until I move out its not a good idea!

I'm so so sorry to hear that. They increase rent every at lease. My neighbor across the hall is in a low income and his rent has been increased so much that he now pays the same normal price as I did when I moved in renting at a normal rate.
These people are renting out apartments to new people at half the price that previous renters paid.
Can you file a complaint with the Rental Protection Agency? Your one of manyyyyyy who have had this issue, one of my neighbors who also lost her job now has taken revenge by talking to potential tenants who come to visit, as it turns out many have actually read the reviews on this very site, and came to see this place out of hesitation. So put your complaint out for all to see. It makes a difference. If I ever come across anyone seeing the apartments I will personally stop them, and talk them out of moving here. These people need some serious media attention and from what it sounds like, some very angry x-tenants I've spoken to have that in the works. So complain your heart out, their are plenty of apartments that need tenants right now, if not actually begging people to move in since everyone is broke now. Give it a try, and move out but let out your complain so more people will be hesitant to move in.

I'm facing a similar situation. My rent dramatically increased over the course of the year. I lost my job in May and tried to explain the situation to management. I went through all of my savings paying rent and utilities while I was unemployed. I recently started working again on September 1st. My lease expired in August. I haven't renewed, but I don't have the money to move out. I also don't have the money to stay here. I'm in such a financial bind and tried explaining the situation to MCA. They could careless.
