BIGGEST RIP OFF IN SAN JOSE Let me give you a little sum up of this place.. We went to rent from here, got pressured into renting "there are only 2 apartments left, and that couple over there is going to sign if you dont.." The manager is about as fake as they come, was too busy asking us how much we were going to pay for a condo that we were looking at.. OH and was going to charge us 1335, but "shhhh.. dont tell the other tenants.. " So we came to this site a couple days before and looked under Avalon Campbell, and there was no listing, the day we sign the lease we find out that the apartment is listed as Canyon Creek. Well needless to say, we didnt like the reviews, and did not feel safe living in an apartment complex where someone was SHOT!.. we pleaded our case, and called that night, that we didnt feel safe.. which by the way you have a right to move from a complex if you feel your saftey is in jeopardy.. the idiot manager said that we had to pay for a months rent.. Now mind you.. We hadnt seen the apartment Didnt have the keys Didnt have a copy of the lease The lease wasnt signed by the manager We didnt sign some paperwork One agent told us we had 10 days to "figure" it out, and we would have to pay for the days off the market if we decided to not move in. We were slated to move in 2 weeks later.. We called that night that we signed the lease after reading the reviews. We have offered to pay the amount the apartment was off the market fees for credit checks etc.. (which they didnt do).. We got charged for returned checks (never sent) proceesing fees (which they never did) Months rent plus 7 days.. Which we never occupied They have now sent us to a collection agency.. 1748 dollars.. thats right 1748 dollars.. These people dont care about their tenants only about $$. BTW I would be very suspicious of the previous post, and the next post I wouldnt doubt if this is the manager at the complex.. .. This was posted on the same day we told the office that we found their review on this website.. Have any questions' Feel free to email me.. I AM MORE THAN WILLING TO TALK ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE, give you names etc.. Small Claims Court here we come.
