My husband and I have been living at this complex for over a year. For a while we had no problems, but then in the month of July the office staff LOST a MONEY ORDER we dropped off for rent (let me remind you that a money order is when you give cash and get the money order, not just a check) and on top of losing it, they are making us pay it back, that's an extra $1200 (which, alone, is bullsh** considering our ONE bedroom apartment is not worth that).
We had a payment plan set up with them. I gave the majority of the payment due, but was $400 short because of a medical emergency we had with our infant daughter that kept us out of work for several days. I promised the money by the end of the weekend and then they hit us with a 3 day notice to pay rent or get evicted.
Their slogan is "Time Well Spent"... yeah, time well spent losing my money and making my life miserable.
Save yourself the trouble, do NOT move into this complex.

Money orders can be refunded if they have not been cashed. I am assuming you filled in the "Pay to the Order of" space. That means that anyone cashing it will have to eat the loss if they cashed it for anyone but the payable to person.
