Cedar Glen Apartments

Not a bad place, but parking is horrible. From: supermonkey Date posted: 3/24/2003 Years at this apartment: 1998 - 2003   I've been living at Cedar Glen for a little over 4 years, but I'm finally moving out. Pros: The place overall is not bad. The grounds are well kept, the maintenance staff is responsive and my neighbors have been extremely quiet. There are about 30 washers and 30 dryers on the complex, but some people haven't figured out how to promptly remove their items (even though there are timers on the washers and dryers) so it gets a little crowded on the weekends. My rent was only raised once during the 4 years and recently they offered to lower it if I would re-sign the lease....no can do :) Cons: Same thing everyone else complained about...parking. Parking is horrible. If you plan on having guests over after 7 p.m., make sure they expect to park in the street. I've noticed a stepped up effort in towing, but there are relatively few visitor spots. My covered spot was clear across the complex (while the rest of my neighbors parked close to their apartments) so make sure you ask where your parking spot will be relative to your apartment before signing. I asked several times for a new spot but management refused. When I did turn in my notice to vacate, I again let them know about my parking situation and NOW they were willing to give me a different spot! Another con would be the kids running around in the courtyards screaming. One night the kids were playing and screaming till 11:30 p.m.!!!! Obviously, there are parental issues that need to be addressed by that. I could have done without all the kids playing and screaming during the evenings.
