The noise is bad but some of us have hounded the police and then also the Campbell Code Enforcement Office. The City of Campbell Public Works Department has received and addressed concerns regarding noise from Hamilton highway construction. They try to keep it at a minimum but must do work late night when there are the least cars on the road.
The Elephant Bar Restaurant on 499 E Hamilton Ave has been the main culprit of noise. With the Campbell Code Enforcement Office sending them warnings since July 07 they have tried to keep noise down to a minimum.
With fairly new management, they have tried to be cooperative which wasn't the case for 9 straight months when calls and letters were made repeatedly to them, Campbell Police and Campbell Code Enforcement.
For noise, if you are a light sleeper or have trouble falling asleep, I'd recommend against the apts on the south end that face Elephant Bar directly. The walls are very thin as others have noted.
On the bright side, the main maintenance guy Giovanni is very nice and responsive so things will get fixed quickly. The manager has her moments and you just need to work on her good side.
