The grounds are lovely and well maintained, but the apartments are very old (popcorn ceilings and floor to ceiling mirrored closet doors). Parking is a drag if you ever have guests, because they have no place to park ("visitors parking" is a total joke). One good thing is if you have 2 cars then you get 2 assigned spots. The location is good since it is right by the freeway and about 1-2 blocks from the Pruneyard.
The complex is very quiet and peaceful. My roommate and I were unlucky to live above a super cranky neighbor who was an utter drag to be around, but our next door neighbor was a sweetheart like most of the people who live in the complex.
The office staff at this apartment complex is the most unprofessional and cranky staff I've ever dealt with. They are sugary sweet until you sign the lease, then they treat you like crap. For example, they spelled my roommate's name on the reimbursement check incorrectly and refused to issue another one. The manager even told me that an incorrect spelling wouldn't matter. This is a $900 check. My roommate and I were finally able to meet each other in SD to go to the bank together only to have the bank teller tell us it is obviously impossible to cash. Needless to say, I called the Apt manager while still standing inside the bank just in case she decided to give me another run around.
I have recently been told that another check will be issued once I send back the old one. Hopefully this issue will be resolved.

As the manager of River Walk Apartments I felt compelled to address the prior posting inaccuracies.First of all did you get the word cranky from the posting before this one? The only reason that the check we sent to them was not cashed is because these roommates did not like each other at the end of their lease.I have talked to one of them 2 times and told them I can not just give the check to one person it is against the law. We have never talked to any bank about this matter.

First off, the manager at the apts has promptly contacted me to rectify the deposit check situation, which I'm thankful for. However, as previously mentioned numerous times to the manager, my roommate and I no longer reside in the same city because we are both doing residencies. I am insulted that the manager would state that we no longer "like each other at the end of their lease." Thank you for maligning our characters seeing as how my roommate and I are still friends. How completely unprofessional and rude.
