When my roommate and I found these apartments, they weren't perfect, the price was OK and they offered a "great move in special" based on credit.
We should have run screaming for the hills when they didn't process our paperwork on time, decided to revoke the move in special and left us unable to move in on the date we had specified 2 weeks earlier.
Not long after we moved in (cause clearly they couldn't have done it before hand) they decided to fumigate. It was then that the bugs showed up. They've never left.
Then, the water system is a joke. My hot water runs brown every morning, the shower is falling apart, and no one fixes anything, even if you request it several times.
The neighbors are awful. They stick gum in the access gates, making the gated community not so gated. My parking space is shared with a sliding gate, and frequently I'm locked in our out of my spot from people parking incorrectly. When I asked to have the car towed so I could get to work, the staff said "Can't you wait'"
Then they accused me of underpaying my rent by a significant amount. I sent them oodles of paperwork documenting that I had, infact, overpaid my rent by 5 cents. I sent them faxes, certified letters and delievered it to the rental desk. They never responded.
Then they gave one day notice, not too long ago to fumigate the apartment again...not to mention the weeks without water when they "fixed" the plumbing.
I could go on like this for hours. I have a file folder 3 inches thick with all the stuff that has gone on, and it hasn't even been one year yet.
I wouldn't reccomend Jones and Jones properties to even the jerk who stole my car radio out of my car yesterday...Did I mention it was in my assigned carport space'
