My wife and I lived here for 6 years until the new owners came in and altered the management. During that time we were late on the rent only twice with permission from the management team. I liked living here, it was small at 700 square feet for my wife and two children but I was always willing to stick it out because of Dorn and Denise(old management team.) They made us feel wanted. Then they were instantly replaced when the new owners took over. The new management team was horrible. We were no longer a precious commodity but parasites. We now had to beg people to come and fix minor things like door locks and hinges. If we called for anything we were told that we could only talk to one person in the office who was never available. We watched the place slowly become vacant. One of the maintenance people told my wife that there used to be a waiting list to get into Americana now they had over 30 apartments vacant. When we made the decision to move we left it immaculate, even repainting the walls. Americana took our entire deposit and claimed they cleaned all sorts of things that we had cleaned to perfection, failed to provide a receipt and then charged us more on top of it. This used to be a wonderful place to live. It hurts my heart that the current management has damaged this place irrevocably. I continue to warn people from living here. It is so sad.
