UPDATE: Information regarding road closure access was given by a "City Official"
This place is so HORRIBLE. They did not pay their portion of community fees and now one of the main entrances to the property has been closed down by the city. Not only a nuisance but a safety hazard. This place changes management constantly and rents are going up again. Not a safe place for anyone, especially children. A horrible gang-banger environment. Places are built poorly and nothing works for long. STAY AWAY!!!!

Why don't you contact the city to find out why it was closed. It has nothing to do with any fees!!!! After you have contacted them, you are gonna feel really stupid.

It goes even beyond the horrific management. This place has become unsafe. Gates do not work, we have seen them actually closing on children because the sensors do not work. There is a rodent problem, fixture and toilets leak. When The Colony was built they refused to pay their portion to the city so that a safe and clean recycling system could be set up. Trash containers are overflowing and people are allowed to pick through the trash containers. People are now allowed to park in front of their garages, cutting off access to the garages. Seriously thinking of sending out a petition and filing a health and safety complaint. And yes, we have heard numerous times that the management "loses" the 30-day notice they are given. Be sure to send it "certified" mail. We will be moving out pretty soon and will definitely being covering ourselves this way.

so funny that the manager of this dump responses so quickly to the postings here. Ok, well if it wasn't for "fees" what was it for?? Funny that only the street leading into "The Colony" is closed. How about you explain it to us "stupid people". Besides that, let's see... I just got a notice that my lease is going to be up soon, and that my rent is going up. Up? While the place is going downhill fast, my rent is going up? Why? I have to deal with loud ghetto people that litter and leave dog crap all over the place, but now I have to pay for them desroying this place? Besides that, I just got a notice of ANOTHER change in management! What is that, number four in two years? This place is a joke!
