We have lived in Archstone since September of 2006. We're moving out this year. The ant problem is HORRIBLE. The management tries to blame the resident no matter what happens. We were so excited to move into Archstone - but it just isn't worth it. You pay for the looks and the amenities - and that is about it. Our carpet was bad when we moved in. Our front door lock wasn't working, our drains clogged, our windows don't shut, our dishwasher overflowers, our icemaker broke, our garbage disposal broke. It is one thing after another. Instead of taking the time to fix the problem completely, they make small quick fixes, which end up causing more problems later on. My husband and I love the nicer things in life - but this one just isn't worth it. Not to mention - the water bill there are horrendous!!!! And the rent increase is very high! Our 662 sq. foot apartment is going to go up to $1595 a month, with another $37 in water.
