Nice but getting more expensive

I'm updating my review from four years ago... The site won't let me edit my dates of residency, but I've been living here 2003-present (2008). The only major thing I have to add is that the rent has gone up $300 ($1270 then, $1570 now) in those four years. I mention below that one year they didn't raise the rent... but since then, apparently they have "different management" and the rent quotes they give you upon lease renewal are absolutely non-negotiable.

It's still great to be able to call maintenance to fix stuff, and the parking is still ample. It's a nice community... it's just getting to the point where I may have to start looking for something cheaper, or at least someplace where I can get more for my money.

The following is my previous review:

Good stuff: Two pools, community workout room, great dual master BR floorplan. Bad stuff: No W/D in unit... you have to lug your stuff to one of the two laundry rooms. But, they are well-kept and provide for a pleasant laundry experience.
You only get one assigned covered parking spot, but if your car doesn't need to be sheltered as much, there are plenty of open spaces and street parking for a second car or for guests. Some of the open spaces are actually closer to our unit than our assigned spot.
The area is very quiet. The interior walls may be a bit thin (I can sometimes hear my neighbor's snoring through the wall), but it's not too bad. Aside from that, the only detraction is the occasional skunk. I have seen a few, and smelled a few, but fortunately not at the same time.
As a single female, I find the community to be very safe (although it never hurts to be careful). My roommate (also female) and I got a move-in special. We have lived here for a year and just signed another 12-month lease. They did try to raise the rent on us, but when we balked, they were "willing to negotiate" and we got a more agreeable rate.

My friggin dog got sprayed right outside my place when I was walking him. Also, my wife and I almost got sprayed while walking back from the laundry room and while I was jogging one night, I almost got sprayed twice!!
