I lived in the Archstone Seagate Apartments for 3 years with my husband in a 2BR/2BA.

I think the grounds are beautiful.

The repairs were always done swiftly, as of the next day, and the repairmen were always courteous.

Children playing in the yards were nice kids who did not cuss or fight.

No common room, and I wish we did have one so I could have had my beading group meet there.

Swimming pool clean, but I rarely swim as Carlsbad weather not warm enough for this East Coast lady.

Office staff helpful, lobby beautiful with classical music playing, water pitcher, coffee and candy dish full of candy!

I'd recommend this place to anyone who can afford it.

The only screwy thing I'd warn you about is: the rent changes from day to day. it goes up and down like the shares of a mutual fund do. So the rent they quote you when you first go there will not be the rent you end up paying. It's annoying, as for both times I had sought quotes, I always wound up paying a higher rent. Grrrr...

After all, no one grabs an apartment the first time they see it; at least I don't.

So be forewarned: the rent WILL be different.

Still, it's worth living there for the cleanliness, and orderlyness of the place. it's about the best apartment I've ever lived in. And I'm 55, with 5 apartments in my past
