VERY BAD

Hi,
We moved out from Marbella this year because after the lease was done they increase the rent so high (that is the primary reason we don't recommend it, they don't tell you from the beggining, they tell you 1 month before your lease is done with a letter, so you don't have time to find a another place).
The apartments inside are nice, but outside you can hear others neighbors noise specially your front neighbors and up neighbors.
And other reasons are:
1) The Office manager are sooo rude in general.
They send a renewal letter saying that you are a very good and important renter for them so they want you to stay another year in Marbella........
but if you don't want to stay there, they don't give good references to other landlords of you....
So looks like they just want you to stay there and don't have more choices to pay the new montly rent..)
2) For me it is not safe at all.
I just have a bad experience and found that somebody tryed to stole my car the night before I found it.
Thanks god the person just got couple of things of the car but couldnt turn on the car with a little stick wich I found in the key place..) After that I was paranoia.
3) Ok this is very bad.
After we moved from Marbella we received almost a month later a letter from them wich say that we still had to pay 1700 $ because they had to change the carpet and the apartment wasn't clean so they have to pay for somebody and other couple of things,,,, We clean the carpet 2 months (by the way very expensive) before and we clean the house so hard before we move so that was an excuse.....(If you pay a deposit from the beggining probably they won't give you back the deposit or in our case we just pay the minimal deposit wich wasn't refund..) WE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE AND WE LIVE IN OTHER PLACES FOR MORE THAN A YEAR AND ALWAYS WE GOT BACK THE DEPOSIT....SO WE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND AND LOOKS LIKE THEY WANT TO MAKE MONEY LOOKING EXCUSES SO WE TRY TO FIGHT AND OF COURSE NOT PAY BUT MY CREDIT REPORT WOULD BE AFFECTED FOR THIS THING.....
So I just say Be carefulll for the new people ask everything from the beggining and don't expect to get back your deposit because any excuse is possible.......
It is important that the people know about all this things and hope that was helpful At least I learn and the next time that I have to move for sure I will read the people reviews....................
Thank you

Just to respond, our first year here has been nice and easy (other than a few rude neighbors, but the managment takes care of that quickly) and we haven't had any problem with the renewal.
The manager is actually really nice and friendly, she even plans events for the residents and walks a few of the local dogs just to be nice. Just one of the perks of a small complex.
We had a few recent things that needed to be fixed and the service guy was up here in less than 24 hours. They let you bond your deposit so that you don't have to put the $1500 up front, and if when you move out you see a bill for cleaning, well I just have to say that you should have done a final walk through and had them give you an inventory list of what they needed to fix. If you don't take the responsibility to make sure your account is clear then you can't complain when they find problems after you leave. We lived in one place that tried to hit us up to refinish a bath tub and when I got the maintenance guy in there for a walk through I asked, "What's wrong with the tub?", he said, "nothing" and we didn't pay for a refinishing that didn't need to be done.
Our ONLY problem has been with some of the other residents. I have lived around military all my life but man, these guys with their motorcycles having straight pipes and suped up trucks with open mufflers, it's a few select residents that are rude, not the management.
