No longer a "Resort-Style" Community and unkept

We chose to live here because of the guarantee of a certain quality of life we would enjoy. Unfortunately, the builders (JPI) and managers at the time sold the property and management was replaced with a property management company named Metric. Metric cuts corners wherever possible. The grounds no longer look cared for except in front of the office. Due to scattered wind-blown trash, overgrown landscaping and weeds, dog feces along walkways, and trash bin doors and dumpsters left open, distasteful odors and appearances abound.

Public interiors and exteriors of the residential buildings are not maintained in a consistent manner. The carpets are dirty and are not vacuumed. Unless brought to the attention of management, the carpets would get no attention. The staircases are stained, cobwebs are present throughout the buildings, there is dust and dirt build up. The windows, garage doors and building exteriors have never been washed and the dust and dirt build up has become easily apparent and a source of embarrassment.

While on trash pick up days the trash sits in front of the building and on walkways until after the lunch hour for four hours in the heat. The pool area is filthy 80% of the time and does not portray a "fresh" appearance each week. Although it is against policy for a child to be in the hot tub, management does not take action to enforce the rule. The children regularly urinate and pour soap bubbles into the hot tub making it unclean and "unsavory" for adult residents. A growing number of residents are using their balconies for storage and throw towels and other items over their railings.

All in all the high level of service and professionalism has deteriorated due to management's refusal to hire more custodians, deletion of many amenities previously offered, lack of enforcement of basic policy designed to ensure a quality of excellence in the lifestyle that Metric advertises. We continue to pay some of the highest rent in San Diego County and expect more. For a property that considers itself a "resort-style" community ...we strongly believe it can no longer justify such a title.
