We lived in Rising Glen for a year and as I have read other post, had very similar experiences to other residents. We had many problems while living in the residence, many of which were never fixed or took numerous calls to the office to be fixed. Our dishwasher broke and flooded the kitchen, when we called they sent someone out hours later to cleam up the mess. They came for about 5 min. put a fan in the kitchen and then left. They never returned. About 2-3 weeks later we found large amounts of mold growing on the other side of the wall which had also ruined many of our belongings. The office did little in the way to fix the problem or comfort their residents whom lost many items. During all this they were very rude and did not get back to us until we had tried to contact them numerous times. We wanted to Know the results of the mold test and they never got back to us. The carpet was horrible and they knew it but would not replace it; when asked if they would replace it they said no, yet they still charged us a large amount to clean it when we left. The washer broke and then they put in another one that was also broken. The staff was rude to us when ever we had problems in our apartment, especially the Manager of the place, Brenda. The price of these apartments are also very high compared to others if you actually do the looking around; they are not near as nice, clean or updated as some out there. The parking was also a huge joke, and divided up very unfairly. If we had a problem it was like pulling teeth to get it fixed or a call back, but when the office wanted something from you they did not stop calling or posting notes until you got back to them. I would highly advise against this place, as it was the worst living situation myself or my two roommates had ever experienced.

We lived here and had made friends with numerous tenants in the complex. The management spied on us at the jacuzzi and even when we were just out picking up the mail. We rented one of the 2 bedroom 2 bath units and were promised brand new carpeting when we moved in. That never happened the place smelled like rotting garbage and we had to clean the carpeting before we could move in. We had decided not to rent for a second six month lease and had turned our notice in. It was 5 and a half months into the lease and I had already made arrangements to move. When one evening someone inserted a master key and attempted to enter my apartment. I had thought prior to this the management was snooping in my home when I wasn't there. This person was from the management company and when I caught them. Lied to me and proceeded to feed me this whole story about how I was being evicted for non payment of rent. I kept every check stub and know this was a lie because I never missed a payment. The person inserted her foot in my front door and refused to remove it. I called Carlsbad Police and had them dispatch a officer to handle this broad. They came out and told them if I was moving to leave me alone till I moved. That night I went out and bought a set of locks and installed them myself to keep out any more unwanted visitors. I called a family friend who helped me out by finding me a house to rent. When I was moving out the Apartment Manager in charge of this place followed me everytime to see where I was moving to. I was picking up the last of my belongings and had called the police prior to going back to this complex. When I pulled in the manager followed me down to the apartment in her car. She got out of the car and was screaming for the world to hear how unhappy she was and how she wanted to evict me but since I was moving she couldn't. The police pulled up behind her and forced her to move her car and warned her to leave people alone. I cleaned the apartment with three people present so she couldn't keep my deposit. The police also told me if she showed up in my new neighborhood to not hesitate to call. Everything was wonderful until I signed the lease and then it was hell on earth till I moved out. Everyone who reads this do not and I repeat do not move into here no matter what. It will test the limits of your sanity till you feel you just might go off the deep end. To the management of Rising Glen you are the most evil disgusting people I have ever met. I notice in the 13 years since I have moved out nothing has changed how sad for you that you keep playing these sick little mind games with your tenants. After this any time I ever had a problem in a apartment complex I called my attorney first and let him handle them.
