Hello fellow community dwellers and those in search of an apartment:
My husband and I moved here from out of state in the beginning of 2002. We didn't know anyone, didn't have an apartment, and didn't know our way around. We found Santa Fe Ranch through the For Rent magazine and were greeted by a lovely staff. They were all so helpful.
To expand on the ratings:
1. Parking: There is ample parking as well as brand new lighting that was installed over a year ago. We have an assigned carport and everything else on the property is on a first come, first serve basis... there's always room for our friends to park when they visit.
2. Noise Level: Although it is quiet on the property, there are some children because it is a family property. My husband and I don't have kids and have managed to find several other couples without children.
3. Grounds: Since we've lived here we have noticed immense improvement to the property. I always see the landscapers working away at the beautiful flower gardens, mowing the lawns, and trimming the bushes throughout the property. It is extremely well-kept and has continued to improve over time.
4. Safety: We feel extremely safe here on the property. Every since the new management company took over the property all new lighting was installed making it much easier to walk to and from our apartment during the evening. There are also gates at the entrances so that we can control who comes in the gates.
5. Construction: We have had little to no problems with out apartment since moving in. The new management company always seems to be working on a new project: repaving the whole property, installing some roofs, fixing patio railings and carport areas.
6. Maintenance: The maintenance staff here is incredible. They are always get the work fixed right away and typically we don't have a problem with the item again. They're also very friendley.
7. Staff: all the ladies in the office are extremely nice and helpful. They really seem on top of things when it comes to renewing our lease agreement, information about upcoming projects, or informing us about activities, or other on the property.
8. Overall: We have truly enjoyed living here and will probably be here for a couple more years. We highly recommend this property especially with the current staff.
As the other reviews have stated: we did have some ants, but the property sent out pest control within the week to take care of it, and we haven't seen them since. Common sense lends everyone to know that all of Southern Cal was built on an anthill, so it was no surpise from us. We are pleasantly pleased with the way it was handled.
Sounds like some of the people posting reviews have not treated the staff with the same respect as they have treated all of us. This is an excellent place to live and we highly recommend it to our friends, family and anyone else that want a pleasant place to live.
