RUDE managers, flimsy window locks, ant problems, high rent

The locks on ground floor windows are so cheap, you can pull windows open with your bare hands. When you call the office to ask them to fix the windows, they get all defensive and claim that "if the lock works, it's not our problem". They then offer to install locks you buy with your own money, for a fee, of course.
Our apartment had fleas for the first three weeks after moving in. We had to vacate twice while they sprayed.
This winter, we had a horrendous ant problem. Ants came in droves, all over the living room, the walls, etc. It was like a horror movie. All the office offered to do was send an exterminator once a week. We needed the terminator. I spend $150 of my own money to handle the issue, and even then, i think i just forced them into the walls we couldn't see them.
The guy across the street got his door kicked in and his stuff stolen while he was on vacation earlier this year. Nobody heard it and called the police.
The staff is nicey-nice until you sign and move in, and they they become rude and defensive about the most trivial issues.
Carlsbad is a nice place- this place is not. Try one of the other excellent offerings in the area, but avoid Seagate at all costs.
