I like the layout I have, (almondwood) I like that fact that there is a large bathtub and dual sinks in the master bedroom...I also like the size and placement of the balcony.
We moved into an apartment that was not updated (by choice), however the construction of this building is sub par. These were built in the 1980s and have cracks in the ceiling as well as the walls around windows and doors. There are wires and bludges showing through the paneling. The caulking in the bathtub was NOT waterproof and we had to have it replaced. It took about 2 weeks to have replaced and even then we insisted that they use the caulking WE bought, just so maintenance didn't screw it up. The maintenance guys are friendly however....kind of awkard and one of them constantly has a strong odor of fish (the bigger one) that will stay in the house after he's left.
We've had 2 people live below us. The first person NEVER complained about anything, the 2nd however, as nice as she is complains about every single thing. She even had my sister drive from Tememcula to turn off our alarm at 7 a.m. because she couldn't sleep. This was when the windows were all shut and FYI its a pretty quiet alarm. She complains about us doing laundry at night and now during the day thinking we are doing it to anger her, she complained about the toilet being flushed at night and late showers. She's guilting us into tiptoeing around our home because she's "moved into her office to sleep because then noise is unbearable" & she's "lost income because she's been sent home due to no sleep" and she's complained about a tv being loud in the master bedroom when ***we dont have one in that room, and the TV we do have was NOT on***
So mostly this is a complaint about my neighbor, so far.
Managment has threatend to kick us out because of her. They've assumed that since we're young, we must be loud. At first, management was our best friend. THEY LIED. They lied about the construction of the apartment: "These are condominium homes so the walls here are very thick, you'll never hear neighbors or people upstairs or anything" (that was Arlene, the asian assistant). Robin the acutal manager does live downstairs and can hear people upstairs constantly (she's said). (oh yeah, the website is www.seagateapts.com)....notice the "apts", yeah apartments, not condos.
The first issue I had with management was Arlene kissing my ass a whole lot less when she couldn't sell me on the downstairs, more expensive apartment. (if you're going to pretend your nice and friendly...at least do good job).
She also told me that there was no "silly pet rent" and the deposit was another $199 (equal to the regular deposit). We didn't have a pet at the time of move in but we got one later on. Apparently there IS a pet rent and there has been for the last 4 YEARS minimum. It's $30/month. Oh, but wait, the deposit isn't $199 is $350!!!
The downstairs aparment balconies are very sketchy, not fenced in many open to a canyon, where in the past, huge groups of illegal -------- have been living, (not to mention bugs and animals).
We've had 1 very stubborn ant problem. I fixed the ant problem myself but the ants were coming through a hole in the kitchen window's frame.
Most people I've seen have small dogs, some large...over the limit I'm sure but most people pick up the poop.
PARKING: NIGHTMARE
For WindDrift Drive apartments: NO PARKING. You can park in your garage but nobody does (there's no storage inside your home), there are 3 hideous trailers used for who knows what parked in 3 visitor spots and the visitor spots that are open are nothing more than secondary parking for the apartments that have more than one driver, (MOST DO). Parking on many occasions has been literally impossible. With all visitor parking filled in the entire complex the last resort is to park at the pool...FILLED.
....what else...
The washer and dryer are in a CLOSET
The storage available is non existant
The putting green is an out of the way joke
The Tennis courts are nice and have free lessons for like an hour on saturday.
The Pool is nice
The management is fake, cheap and very much "money grubbing"
The mainentance is all half assed....100% of the time
Dont live here if you dont work a 9-5...otherwise you get in trouble for doing laundry/showering during "quiet hours"
Barely worth the money. If there weren't 3 of us living there It wouldn't be worth it....we split 1785/mo.
Oh yeah, My family is in the management business and I was told to "watch my deposit" it sounds like I wont be getting it back...and now they've got 550 of deposit money.

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FROM SEAGATE CONDOMINIUMS. I HAVE NEVER HEARD SUCH A
CROCK OF S--- IN MY LIFE. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ARLENE OR ANY
ONE AT SEAGATE. I HAVE HAD ALL REPAIRS FIXED WITHEN 1 TO 2 DAYS AFTER
REPORTING THEM TO ARLENE. THERE IS A CHAIN OF COMMAND TO GO THROUGH,
IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS MAN IS COMPLAINING OVER NOTHING, HE HAS TO BE
MAKING 95 % OF THIS STUFF UP. MY NAME IS DAVID WE HAVE BEEN LIVING HERE
FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW, ABOUT THE DOG THING, I WAS TOLD JUST LIKE EVERY
ONE ELSE ABOUT THE COST OF AN ANIMAL AT THE CONDO'S. ARLENE WAS VERY
UP FRONT ABOUT IT. ABOUT THE WORKERS SMELLING LIKE FISH, THEY WERE
PROBABLY CLEANING HIS DISPOSAL IN HIS KITCHEN. IT MAKES ME VERY
ANGRY TO HEAR SOME ONE ----- AND MONE ABOUT EVERY LITTLE THING, IF THIS
MAN HAS SO MANY COMPLAINTS I WOULD SAY DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT HIM IN THE
A-- AS HE LEAVES. THERE ISN'T ANY FENSE AROUND THIS PLACE TO KEEP HIM
THERE. THE STAFF AT SEAGATE,ROBIN,ARLENE,BRANDON,MONIKA,JOS JAVIER AND LUISA
HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL TELL THIS CRY BABY TO GROW UP OR
LEAVE. AND JUST DEAL WITH YOUR NEIGHBOR!!!

So...I read this and thought..."Holy S***" what did I say?
I re-read everything I wrote...and all I have to say is *It's all 100% TRUE*
This guy also sounds like management. Either way..the purpose of this site is to offer the opinion of the community from the resident's point of view. This is my experience here to so far. Step by step...everything is here. I typed out every single thing. Now in time I've been here this is everything I've experienced. The downstairs neighbor (MANAGEMENT AGREES) is overly "sensitive" and has the option to transfer. I repeat, we've never had a problem with previous neighbors, yet WE were the ones being threatened. Of course this is going to relate to a BAD experience.
Also, I dont know how much of a "baby" you are, but when I see issues or things that need to be fixed I dont run away or MOVE. I DEAL WITH THE ISSUES.
EVERYTHING, EVERY WORD, is 100% truth. I stand by that.
