I lived there for more than 5 months and there were never any problems. The management and staff were great and they went out of their way to help with a couple of problems, (mail, and garbage disposal).
The manager is very polite and helpful, and very helpful when I had a small issue with the apartment, and when I had to break my lease to move she was very helpful in that area also.
It seems that people that complain have other problems that they don't want to deal with themselves and like to find something to complian about. That is to bad for them, I feel for them.
The Villas at Carlsbad is clean and safe, if you have issues then look at yourself, first.
