I am gathering evidence for opening a class action lawsuit against Waterstone Carlsbad. Please email me at waterstone.scams@gmail.com and tell me your complaints about waterstone carlsbad. I will soon open a blog site and a website about them for everyone else to see too.

In the meantime, please document, photograph and record all your complaints and their wrong doings, so that we have a huge database of evidence when the time comes to sue.

Some of the scams they pull of include:
1- Lying shamelessly, while smiling at your face.
2- After hearing a complaint, they say it is the first time they heard it. (I know two of my next door neighbors have complained about the same thing.)
3- Saying that the management changed 3 months ago, everytime we visit, they said the same thing 3 months ago too.
4- Taking out $300 from the deposit, automatically, unlawfully.
5- Not having any parking space and not enforcing the parking rules, even though people are supposed to have permits, half of the spots are filled by non-permit holders
6- During our stay they had to come at least once a month to fix something broken in the apartment
7- Laundry facilities are not upkept, some laundry rooms don't have hot water, very unsanitary conditions, easy to spread disease.
8- Courtesy patrol, is ineffective, some rude people party until 4 am in the morning
9- They don't let you give the keys and get out of the complex before the lease end date.

Hello, Ive been living in Waterstone Carlsbad for almost 2 years, is been a HORRIBLE experience, the leasing office dont have any respect for their residents they towed my car just beacuse i parked in a red tag space because it was beacuse i couldnt found a parking spot to park without giving me a warning as my lease contract sayis they suppoust to. I wont never recomment Waterstone Carlsbad for a place to live.

Amen. Waterstone is AWFUL. No response whatsoever to repeated noise complaints. NEVER rent here if SLEEP is something you care about.

Some of their lease provisions/policies may be unenforceable under California law. If you are having trouble with them, do not hesitate to speak to a property law attorney.

This place is the worst. I have numerous complaints about this place, and I have only lived here for 2 1/2 months. 1) They not only lie to your face, they dont tell you everything. We needed more than 1 storage due to moving from a house out of state, and just needed the extra storage temporarily. We were told that was fine, just pay for the months it exists. We only needed it for less than a month and already paid for that month. When we go in to drop the extra storage, we were told it was for the entire lease! 2) Speaking of storage, when we were looking for a storage unit here, we were told to just find one without a lock. there were 7 total in our building alone. Out of those 7, 5 were filled with trash and debris, piled at least 5 feet high. We informed management of these discusting conditions, and their response was these were the maintenance spaces(didn't know maintenance paid rent here)and that they would be cleaning in a couple of weeks. That was 2 months ago, and still trash. 3)The add makes this place look like a resort. The parking lots are filled with dog feces and trash everyday. A 12 foot section of a wooden fence behind our unit was down for over 2 months. The maintenance people finally got to it the past weekend to fix it. All of the trash from the broken section is still there. 4) The noise here is the biggest complaint. Every single night there is partying, loud music and/or fighting going on. We even one night had a drunk guy knocking on our door every half hour, starting at 2:30 a.m. going on til 5, even once trying to open the door. We called the so called security and nothing. Finally the cops showed up. We have called the office but of course was told we will look into it. Nothing was ever done as far as the noise here. 5) The front office is rude. They dress up like they work in manhattan but actually run a ghetto. Everytime you call its like you are bothering them from getting their nails done. 6) The apartment sucks. Walls are paper thin(we constantly hear the couple next to us consummating their relationship), the so called upgrades suck like the crown molding is cheap and poorly constructed, and every 2 weeks we have to call for at least 1 repair. 7)Like it was said before, parking is horrible and not enforced. We pay over $1,500 to live here but cant find parking due to people who dont live here can park.

I couldn't agree more. WARNING... do not move into this complex. The noise is absolutely unbearable every single night so I complained to the management but nothing changed. As previously stressed, the walls are paper thin so you can here anything and everything. The neighbors across from me are inconsiderate loud-mouthed, drunken slobs. The plumbing sucks to the extent that we are scared to do our 'private business' in case the toilet overflows. The office staff are very rude and the maintenance guys do not know what they are doing. We can never find a parking spot and my husband's car got hit in the night but of course there was no note claiming responsibility. The response from the office was very cold reminding us that we park at our own risk. The trash containers stink and overflow making it difficult to use without getting filfy doing so. WARNING... do not commit to this dump unless you like mouldy bathrooms, roach infested kitchens and sleepless nights. This place is horrible so run while you have a chance.
