I moved into a newly renovated apartment just before they finished their 6 mil renovations. I have mixed feelings about my experiences there. The apartment i moved into was full of brand new carpets (crappiest cheapest ones they could find however). The appliances were all brand new and worked correctly though. Before their renovations the management staff was very nice and maintenance finished any fixes within 24 hours. However AFTER the old manages left and the new ones took over (within the last few months) They completely changed. I had to ask for my toilet to be fixed 4 times and they always said ("right away") and no one would show up. The maintenance staff also now likes to use leaf blowers now that the leaves are falling. They start bright and early 7 AM EVERY DAY. I spoke to management about this during the christmas holidays and the answer i got was "No we will not change our schedule".
Parking is pretty big problem. There is absolutely not enough spaces for all of the tenants. Most of the parking spots are "Visitor" which you are allowed to park in, however there have been several occasions where i've had to park a 5 min walk away from my apt. I have never seen them towing anyone away who has been parked illegally, so i assume they just dont have enough spots.
The garbage trucks also come around very early every friday morning at 7 am, this always wakes me up living near the main road.
I never had any problems with neighbours being noisy at all. There is sometimes a party on the weekend nights, but never any that bothered me.
Their laundry facility that was closest to the leasing office and where i lived had only 3 washers/dryers and luckily were usually pretty available, however they lock the door to the room at 10 pm and you have to call security to come rescue your clothes.
Their "gym" facility consisted of 2 treadmills, one eleptical trainer one stationary bike and one multigym, and a set of free weights. Very small, (and always cold). (Side note. my friend lived next to it and always said that it was super noisy, you could hear people working out late into the night (its supposed to close at 10)
The pool was nice (however its not maintained during the winter, so there are a ton of leaves in the hot tub all the time. It has a bbq and showers and lawn chairs and those are nice and work.
Upon moving out they neglected to tell me about the HUGE list of things i had to make sure was cleaned in my apartment before i left. I found this out the DAY before i left. Even though i had asked over a month ago when i was handing in my 30 days notice. I have a huge bill of things pay for.
The apartment is located in a fantastic location, walking distance, to a grocery store, many banks, a movie theater, and a shopping mall. Its off the main roads so its quiet from traffic noise as well. Great location.
After all of these complaints i would still recommend it, but its not the greatest place out there.
