I lived at the Parkwood Apartments in Carmichael, CA from May 2003 to June 2004 and in my 13-month stay, I had very little problems here. The management could use a little help since they aren't very nice on the phone. I think Lori and Lydia are the two ladies that work there and they are really only nice if its something that isn't work related. The maintenance on the other hand is exceptional and if a repair needs to be done, they get to it within 1 or 2 days which is impressive than previous places I have resided. The insides to the apartments are in good shape but the exteriors could use some renovations. The swimming pool though, is a little cold and the parking could be a bit tricky to find at night but other than that, its a fairly nice complex considering that it was built back in the 1970's. Other than that, since you are in a family-based part of Sacramento, you will see a lot of kids around this complex with your fair share blend of the twenty-something crowd. Some of the benefits this place does offer is that it is directly across the street from Carmichael Park which do offer tennis, baseball, basketball, and other activities. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants the quietness yet in an area where downtown or Roseville is only 20 minutes away either way you go.
