Poison -- i agree . . . From: ebee Date posted: 5/3/2005 Years at this apartment: 1998 - 2000 1 response   Wow -- seeing the poisonous post makes me feel validated in a way. Me and my sister were roommates at these apartments in 2000. We had lived there about two years. In the course of one week, we both got sick. I was so sick, the Urgent Care clinic I went to called an ambulance to drive me to the ER ---I stayed in the hospital a week with respiratory problems. I really thought I was going to die: my oxygen levels were so low --- doctors kept asking me "Do you smoke" like that would be the answer to everything. (I don't) The thing is, I have asthma, so I thought it was a huge-ass flare-up, but my sister was sick too --- and she's never sick. I was at Mercy San Juan, she was at Kaiser ER --- it was horrible. My sister and I thought it might be the water: there were squiggly black things, hundreds of them in the bath water from the apartment taps. We complained to management, and they said it was just "aging from the pipes". After our hospitalizations, we made the manager send a professional (I dunno his qualifications: it took several weeks before I was cognizant of much again) to check the water: they said it was harmless mold and could not have been the cause of our problems. I knew I should have sued them for my $27,000 hospital bill -- yes, I was uninsured -- my new insurance wasn't going to kick in for another two months. proably was surround by mold in the walls, I didn't think about that. Finally moved. See my complaint under Alderwood Apartments (they renamed them to parkwood.)
