I lived in Amberwood for a couple of years up until Feb 06, and coming from OC, this was a bargain. The complex was gated, and that provided a sense of security. The place was well kept and constantly cleaned, I'd always see the maintenance guys around. The laundry room was always packed in the evenings around the time people would get home from work. I found the best time to do laundry was the middle of the day or the weekend. Parking was OK, I was a student so I'd get home at a time when most people were still at work, but if you got home after 6pm you'd just have to park further from your apt. The people were friendly, but I guess that depends on the luck of the draw and what part of the complex you live in.

The office staff was decent, but I never really had to deal with them much. The walls weren't too thin, I didn't hear much noise from the neighbors. Although we had security called on us a couple of times during some of our parties, which can be good or bad depending on your lifestyle. The kids that lived in the complex would mostly play around the pool/volleyball court area, or at the playground, so the complex noise overall wasn't bad at all. Unless you live on the southside near the railroad tracks, but I eventually got used to the passing trains.

The neighborhood was pretty nice, not far at all from Chino Spec, so there were a lot of options in terms of what to eat and do. Overall I'd definitely recommend this place, especially if you're a student that attends school in the Pomona area, and I'd rate the complex a 7/10 and the neighborhood a 7.5/10.
