I find reading some of these reviews, quite amusing (not only for this place but others.)Obviously many people have an ax to grind, and on the opposite side of the spectrum, some of the reviews sound like they were written by the management staff. I lived in this complex for 18 months and my overall opinion was that it was not bad.
Negatives:
Chino Hill Water Department. Yes, you have to pay for water which is metered by the city. I used an average of $2-$3 worth of water per month and was charged $28 in sewage and other fees. What is the point of trying to conserve'
My share of spiders and silverfish but no ants or roaches.
Get a second floor apartment or you will hear every step your upstairs neighbor takes unless she or he is a 95 lb ballet dancer with exquisite coordination and consideration for your plight as a downstairs neighbor.
They now allow dogs. That means poop and noise and occasionally being charged at. I was charged at one night by a pit bull puppy. I pity future residents when this dog grows up.
In answer to some of the negative comments, I had a BMW 3-series that was never touched.
I paid my rent on time, didn't cause trouble and had only a few legitimate maintenance concerns (which were satisfactorily taken care of) and never had trouble with the management. I like to keep in mind that the management staff are leasing professionals; I don't expect them to be my friends no matter how nice they seem. They are paid to be nice.
One disappointment upon leaving. I got a move-in deal in which my deposit was only $100. When I moved out, I spent 5 hours cleaning my apartment. It was in darn good shape, and yet I was charged $110 for cleaning and paining and billed the extra $10. It's understandable of course and wasn't a big deal, but still. Considering my good tenacy, I had to ask, 'where's the love'' But then I answered my own question. (See my previous comments about the management staff being apartment leasing professionals.)
