Alrighty... I moved into this place because this is the ***cheapest*** place in the area that would accomodate myself and my dog.
Pros- new carpet at move in, due to location- temperature stayed relatively conisistent and comfortable- no real use for a/c or heating, ample parking, nice neighbors, big enough patio space for my dog to hang out, and cheap enough for a single male student working full time and taking 16 units at a nearby university.
cons- although the neighbors are nice- there was definitely a noise problem, cheap fixtures, shoddy electrical work, cable internet kept cutting out, my apartment was too close to the playground- some people let their kids play there and make noise until 10 at night.
The biggest gripe about this place was the management. one competent head manager supervising brain dead underlings. They would not answer the phones. The only time they got to action is if you put it in writing, putting a CC to your lawyer- dead serious. They'd give you about a day's notice before anything. Especially this annual apartment check where they would do inspections, whether you're there or not. I wasn't too keen on someone entering my apartment when I was out. I put up a note that my dog would rip an intruder to shreds if I wasn't there.
Note to new renters: As with any apartment complex nowadays, don't expect to get your deposit back. Read all fine print before signing. If one of their office jockeys tries to hurry you- just tell them it's your legal right to take your time... they can kiss the fattest part of your ass. there is a $1500 early lease termination penalty... and you must give 2 months notice.

guess what-you don't own the place you live so they do have the right to enter their own property if they are so inclined, with proper notice of course, which you said they gave you.

Proper notice is correct. But recently the so called security guard put a notice on my door between midnight and 3:00am and they entered at 2pm. Not the proper 24 hour notice. Even when I posted on the door to contact me they did not amd emtered anyway. Lacking Management co.
