A real nightmare

I will give specifics about this apartment to prove my claims are legitimate. The first thing I notice is the sheep farm. The rain and the manure will blow a nasty amonia smell to the apartment complex even though it is far from the actual farm. 2nd. The air condition is strategically placed on top of the rooms in some apartments and right outside your bedroom in others. What irritates me is the closet is made form glass mirrors that hum and cackle when the AC goes on. I constantly have to push the mirrors and certain way to ease the noise. I've worn ear plugs for about 1 year now. The best type are the heroes and the leights where the ends are curved because the pink ones cut creases into your ears. Some of the AC units will make a huge BUZZ when they start. I really can't get one good nights sleep here from the constant humm.
What the previous tenant is true. Don't get on the managements bad side. I've told a staff member 4 times that I would like someone else to take over my lease (not sublease). Thats how I moved in because I took over the lease of another individual who wanted to break lease--""by going through their screening process"". I am so sick of repeating myself to the staff and I got a phone call back that I took as a little hostile from the manager..educating me that I can't sublease. Why would I be telling the mgt staff to find another individual for my apartment to break the lease if I wanted to sublease' If I subleased, I wouldn't need to go through them...DUH>>>>!!!
The apartment manager is good and tough and I feel some retaliation is coming my way. Because I'm playing hard ball now and left a strong return message. But I have been in contact with Housing Authority from day 1 of college and I know my rights and how to protect my security deposit, the process to sue, as well as file a claim with BBB if I don't get my security deposit back. Just from the tone of her voice, I feel most of its or all is gone. I will update on how much security deposit I get back.
Furthermore, they are selling the place-err individual units. They have been forcing tenants to RESIGN A 1 YEAR CONTRACT AFTER THEIR LEASE ENDS OR ELSE THE RENTS GOES UP. Great place to call home. Many tenants have moved out since, and cant call this place home. I'm pretty sure they were on managements bad list. 2nd is the lease CLEARLY STATES THAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL RENT TO THE LAST DAY IF YOU BREAK IT. meaning if you had 3 months left..you will need to pay 3 months rent by breaking lease...for a 1 bedroom that can get up to about 3700 dollars. I've asked a few friend lawyers and I get mixed remarks. But if you signed the contract you are responsible, so be wary of that.
On the good note, the place is kid and cat friendly. When I was home a few times, some of the children would play ding dong ditch on my door and leave the tree branches or pine needles in front of my door as a joke. Furthermore, the dirt next to the apartment is a wonderful place for the cat to take a dump. The cats have dumped near my front door times now.
btw the washer and dryer are so small in the unit, for a few loads expect to spend the whole day washing. the washer only fits 3 pairs of jeans.

This sounds all to familiar. I hope the process goes well for you. This place is a joke.
