Bugs-Bugs and more BUGS!!

What can I say. We lived here from 1/00 to 12/03. Almost 4 very long years. 3.5 yrs longer than we had planned. The previous reviews about maintenance, loose outlets, etc are all true. What is sad is how CHEAP the Property Management Company is. The APT manager knew the plugs were loose and unsafe. She even commented that hers were as well. It was scary a few times, when sparks would be flying out of the plugs in my boys rooms. So... we just unplugged them. The management was too cheap to ever properly fix our leaking toilet and tried to blame it on our kids. Guess what' Not having a leaking problem at our new home and the kids came with us!! If you are looking for a "kid friendly" - "Family enviroment"... go someplace else. When we first moved in Manager #1 really pushed how much this was a kid friendly place. Activities for the kids.Only saw 1 in 4 years. Encouraged the children to play outside. Yet by manangers 2&3... they were told, no skateboards, no balls, stay off the lawn AND if 2 or more boys were sitting around talking, they were charged with loitering. Loitering at the age of 10'' What's with that' And security guards paid to follow and harrass the children. Even if the parents are sitting out on their porch watching them play. We were told they had to go inside when it was dark - Summertime mind you! What the security really should have been dealing with was the pot-smoking and drug dealing going on, right in front of our kids. It got to the point, towards the end of our residency, that I just made my boys stay inside and we would find alternate activities to be outside, somewhere else. The pool was disgusting. Unsupervised children playing in there all the time. The absolute worst thing about this place is the BUGS. Cockroaches! It doesn't matter how clean you are or how much you spray. They are embedded in the walls. They did send us away one time in Oct 2001 to tent the complex, but then we are told they will only pay for this every 3-4 yrs. I guess they figure most people will only stick around long enough to be infested by this filth once. For the quality and living conditions of this place, the rent is extremely high. The neighborhood is not the best in Chino. I would recommend putting your money to better use until you can save for a house. Thankfully, with the good Lord's help, we were able to escape and will never look back. It's an ok place to live if you are single and never home. But, DON'T TAKE YOUR CHILDREN THERE!!! IT IS NOT SAFE OR HEALTHY.
