I would give Canyon Villa apartments very high ratings. Now I look at Apartment living as a temporary thing and not long term. We are military and move quite often so we've been in good apartments and very bad apartments. When coming to San Diego we were not able to secure a house to rent fast enough than an apartment for my family. We did not want to live in apartments again, but the Navy sent my wife to San Diego for schooling and did not give us alot of time to ready for a cross country move.
Nonetheless I did alot of internet searching for apartments and ultimatly found Chula Vista area of San Diego would be convienant for my wife to commute to work from. Canyon Villas was on my short list of Apartments and it was the first place we went to when we arived in San Diego. We fell in love with the place right away. We got a 2/1 on the ground floor and love it very much. The other renters seem to have the same wants as we did "A Quiet place to live". It was very quiet and family friendly as we have to two children under 5 years old.
There is no assigned parking and I suggest renting a carport or garage to secure a space.
Although we didn't have any pets it was also a very pet friendly place and the staff was on top of any of our concerns.
It was a great place to live.
