Looks like a nice place but there are problems

The apartments are nice, but here are the problems. Everyone with a garage parks in an open spot, and fills their garages with junk, so there is no place to park after coming back from work at $5:30. The place is close to Southwestern Collage, so you get 6 young adults living in an apartment, taking up 6 spaces, and cranking up their stereos. Management is clueless and inconsiderate. The mailboxes were broken into, and management didn?t even let the residents know what happened! When I complained about a loud neighbor that cranked up his subwoofer at all hours, management did nothing.

Be careful about getting your security deposit back. I cleaned the place better than when I moved in, but they charged me for cleaning, painting, carpet shampooing, etc. The place was spotless when we moved out. There was a $100 security deposit special when we moved in but, I had to pay an additional $300 when we moved out. When we complained, they said that we did not have enough proof and that we owed the money now or else they will send it into a collection agency. What customer service!

Other problems we had were ant infestation, lazy rental office staff (try to get a rent receipt without them telling you to come back). If UPS leaves a package their for you- forget it, they won?t let you know, and it may not be there when you look for it (they signed for a package of ours, but they couldn?t find it!). BRE management is the worst

I had the same problem with the security deposit. I cleaned the place to look much better than when I moved in. I was still charged for $400 for misc. cleaning charges. I ended up taking them to court over the charges. Of course I won since they were full of crap, but it was still a huge pain in the butt! DO NOT RENT AN APT HERE!

it is true about the garage.... they are sill working on it... people just don't learn to abide until they get towed and need to pay about $250 to get the car back. tow away!

Hmm ... this is a few years back, but I am still a tenant here. I hope I don't have to take these donkeys to court for false additional charges since I keep my apartment in immaculate shape. I wrote to the manager and she assured me that I will get my deposit back (not holding my breath) but she said we might have to pay for the carpet cleaning. What is that about? I never heard of having to pay for maintenance nor wear & tear in previous apartments that were a lot nicer than this place. They have to steam or replace the carpet anyway each time a new tenant moves in. Or they should be doing it as part of their responsibility. I know they didn't replace the carpet when we moved in because it was fraying in several areas, and some parts showed high foot traffic. We have been here for almost 2 years, and apart from Christina Lujan, the maintaince crew, and several idiot neighbours, this is a tolerable place.
