Don't let the banners fool you!! The only luxury is the washer/dryer in your unit. This place is a joke... for the price I'd rather rent a house and not have to deal with the "luxuries" I had to deal with at this place. I was stuck there for 14 months of hell. The staff in the leasing office (all the way to the top) appear like the kindest and most helpful in the begining... once you sign the lease, watch out!! They could give a hoot about any issues you may have. Two days after we moved in, our car was towed right from under our "assigned covered space". All I got was an "OOPS we gave you the wrong carport number". I had to drive clear across town to get my car out of the tow yard... I wasn't charged but do you think I got reinbursed for the gas I had to use to go get it' NOPE!! A couple months later our storage was broken into.. "Oh, we'll change the locks". You'll get a security gate opener but you won't need it 'cause it's always open for any Joe Schmoe to walk or drive on to the complex. You get stickers for parking but forget about it!! you'll be lucky to park near your unit if you come home after work. And don't even think about parking out on east palomar... unless you want to pay for a new car window. Yep, one of my cars was broken into. Right under my carport... the leasing office told me to take it up with my insurance company. That's all, folks. I don't even think the leasing office knows what cars belong in the complex. What'' Loud, Roudy, inconsiderate neighbors stomping up and down the stairs and slamming the door all day. Don't even waste your breath on complaining it just gets worse. Don't even try to call the after hours number to report anything. You get to leave a message on a machine 'cause obviously the person that's supposed to answer is probably getting paid $6.75/hr and would rather sleep. Pets not allowed in the south complex... yeah right!! Be careful walkin on the grass. Oh yeah don't even waste your breath on that one either. The last three months of our lease parking got worse. someone decided to leave their old mattresses in the parking spaces. That's right, four mattresses!! As if parking wasn't bad enough. And you heard me right, they were there for 3months!! I could of lived somewhere off of imperial ave or logan heights for half the price if that's the "luxury" I wanted to see. The only reason the grounds are nice are because of the gardners who obviously don't work for BRE. Thank god for mexican emigrants that love to work hard. Forget about the maintanence personell there. Half the year the stairway my family and friends walked up and down on when they visited looked like the floor at a movie theater when the lights come on!! If you still decide to rent there, get a signature for everything!! Don't be fooled like I was with their "Oh we'll take care of it, don't worry". When you move out, don't just turn in your stuff... get signatures!! Other wise you'll be signed up for a month to month lease without even knowing it. That is of course until you're nice and comfortable at your next home and you get a bill. Yep, apparently I still lived there after turning in all the keys. Forget about the deposit! Just leave, don't even fight it. That money was gone anyway! Can you believe the maintanence guys don't even have painting supplies!'!' Yeah, that comes out of your deposit. Forget about normal wear and tear. It does not exist!! Thanks Pinnacle at Otay Ranch... for opening up my eyes. Beware of the "Luxury" apartments. Beware of Pinnacle at Otay Ranch. And one more thing... East Chula Vista is still Chula Vista. Your best bet, unless you're going to buy a house in E. Chula Vista... your better off staying on the west side of the 805. I think I feel great now!!

What? Do you have a chip on your should because you were evicted or something? It's unforunate that There is a forum like this in which people can get the wrong immpression. I have lived here, on the South (aka "pet side") for 2 years. Aside from the average apartment issues that you would have anywhere...I love it. It's funny that youve had so much crime occur in your life, could it be your friends? I have had no problems. Dont let this guy scare you. Its a very nice place.
