I don't understand how it could be so aggravating to live here, but it is. This place is still beautiful in the surrounding areas but it doesn't seem to outweigh the hardships. I live on the NON-pet friendly side. NOT TRUE! Anyone who can provide a doctors note stating that they require 'companionship' are allowed to have multiple pets. (FYI: a 'pet' is defined as a dog or cat. Birds, fish and other animals are allowed otherwise) About 3 months ago a notice went out to all tenants encouraging us to 'tattle' on others who have unauthorized pets. This was a sham that pitted neighbor against neighbor. Names of 'tattlers' were provided to the 'accused' who in turn made personal vendettas. When the office was confronted about this all tenants were instructed to call the police. No effort was made to right the situation and unauthorized pets still frequent this side. The constant barrage of noise after hours is a big problem. As 'btj2006' stated to an unhappy persons review "welcome to Apartment living". I find this statement complete rubbish. I am realistic about car alarms going off because they are too sensitive, loud thumping music, slamming doors, foot stomping and bouncing of toy balls off the apartment exterior during the hours of 9am to 10pm. However, letting these noises happen after 11pm at night is most infuriating. Any and all complaints to the office have been blatantly ignored. As a service for this community there is supposedly an after hours security rover to help maintain the peace. If you can get this person to answer the phone their first response is to call the police. When politely reminded that this is his job and to come take care of it he then replies that his car is in the shop and he can't come around anyways. Mostly his wife answers the phone and says he isn't available and to call the police. I hope for our sake that this 'security' payroll isn't a percentage of what we renters pay out every month' But I have a heavy feeling that it is. Of the two years that I have been here I have been lucky enough to not have my car towed from my designated spot. Others have not been so lucky and yet I still see some folks coming home to a parking spot that is occupied by an unauthorized car. The towing service people are nice and are reasonable to deal with if you find your car being taken away. 'Dumpster divers' are a hassle due to the fact that they leave a complete mess behind. There is only so much our maintenance men can do so this is a give and take subject. If you see someone let them know that it is illegal for them to be doing it and you are contacting the proper authorities. They usually leave after that. I cannot confirm or deny on the horror stories of the lost deposits and additional bills that arrive when you move out but I can say that you must get everything in writing. Take pictures or walkthrough with your camcorder if need be. Normal wear and tear does not have a general definition for everyone so be sure to document everything. Last but not least are the teens and other adolescents that troll around this complex. Apparently the stairwells are a great place to play hooky from school and spend their evenings in. The end result is a mess of candy wrappers, empty and full drink cans, stolen fire extinguishers, graffiti and urine covering the walls and floors. Unless you plan on cleaning up the mess yourself don't count on the maintenance men to do it. They have enough to do and are shorthanded as it is. The office will provide absolutely no help in this matter either. Meanwhile all this garbage lies out rotting and immediately begins to attract ants, roaches, mice, rats and spiders. So much for the pest treatments that we pay for' With all this trash no amount of spray will work. Still I recommend going out and buying a lot of Raid, you will need it. I'm quite sure that after this posting there will be added messages that I must have a 'chip on my shoulder' or 'should move out then'. Considering the amount of rent that we pay I believe we should receive full support when our requests are reasonable. I have six months left on my lease and I can promise you I will be moving to a new place. Should you decide to choose Pinnacle as your place to live I wish you luck and hope that your stay here will be pleasant and hassle free. As it SHOULD be!
